I'm the librarian for instructional support, which entails collaborating with Empire Online in course development and revision, and supporting faculty in using library resources to best effect, integrating information literacy into their teaching, integrating Open Educational Resources into their courses, and publishing and self-archiving their scholarship. I'm also the copyright specialist.

A little about myself: I got my Masters in Library Science from the University at Albany in 2005 and started work at SUNY Empire's library in 2006. The reason I became a librarian is my research superpower, and if you ask me a reference question, I will use it to help you with your question, and also help you discover your own superpower. In addition to librarianship, I specialize in history and educational studies, and have incomplete master’s degrees in both of them. I combine my interest in library science with my interest in educational studies by supporting course development and revision in collaboration with Empire Online. I am deeply interested in accessibility for people with all kinds disabilities including the “invisible” ones, the neurodiversity-friendly library, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion as it pertains to library collections, services, and scholarship. Other responsibilities and interests include copyright, scholarly communications and Open Access, and Open Educational Resources. At home, I have 3 cats, a garden, an overgrown craft stash, camping equipment waiting for me, a preschooler, and an engineer.

Liaison responsibilities: Business, Management & Economics; Labor Studies; Science, Mathematics & Technology; Arts & Humanities; from Social & Behavioral Sciences, Educational Studies, Social Science & Policy, Interdisciplinary & Multidisciplinary Studies.

Degrees: B.A. in history, minor in English composition, Siena College; M.L.S. SUNY Albany; incomplete M.S. in curriculum development and instructional technology, SUNY Albany.
