Ask a Librarian is closed during the Spring, Summer and Winter breaks. Academic librarians from Ask Us 24/7 are available to help when we aren't available.
A little about myself: I was a librarian at Fulton-Montgomery Community College, Schenectady County Community College, and the University at Albany before I came to Empire State University in 2008. I have my M.S.I.S. from the University at Albany with a concentration in libraries, including a focus on humanities and web design. Most recently, I completed a certification in User Experience for Libraries. My other work experience includes experience working in a public library children's room, running community art programs for children and senior citizens, teaching painting for beginners, and teaching workshops on creativity and personal growth. I paint and do mixed media and digital art in my spare time. I enjoy helping people learn and become lifelong learners, helping them find the information they need and leaving them with more confidence in their own research skills and abilities. If you need help with research, I am always happy to help.
