How To Use Nexis Uni: Nexis Uni Basics

LexisNexis Academic is a major database for: 1. business research (company profiles, industry info, etc.) 2. Legal research (cases, statutes, law review articles) 3. Newspapers

What is Nexis Uni?

Nexis Uni used to be called Lexis Nexis Academic. It is the same tool as before, but with a different interface and display. This tool is primarily for locating legal (case law, law review journals, etc.) and company information (profiles, financials, and more), but there is a wide variety of documents that can be found here, including news.

Note: in order to save searches, set search alerts, save documents to a folder for later use, or to share documents with others, you will need to register for the free Nexis Uni Account. You can do this at any time using the "Sign In / Register" link in the top right of any page within the database.

To search, either select a category from the tabs near the top of the page: Tabs near the top of the Nexis Uni home page showing categories of search, with Legal highlighted.

Or start typing search terms into the search box in the middle of the page - you can also limit the search by Date or Content type using the drop down options on the right side: Nexis Uni home page search box with the search "Artificial Intelligence" and marketing typed in.
