You have probably been asked to find scholarly or peer reviewed sources or articles. Here is an overview of what that means. In scholarly/peer reviewed articles:
When searching in OneSearch, you can limit to Scholarly/Peer-reviewed journals only in the Limit Options menu on the left side of the screen. This shows up when you are viewing your search results and if you select this, or other limit options, your search results will refresh. We recommend that you go through the checklist above to confirm that an article qualifies as scholarly/peer-reviewed after using this option.
Some databases in the online library contain all scholarly material while others have an option to search for only scholarly/peer reviewed articles. Look at the database description for details.
When you select a database to search in and it contains more than scholarly articles, you will often see an option to limit your search results to Scholarly/Peer Reviewed under the Advanced Search option or as an option to limit your search results when you are searching in our online databases.
