Maple Resource Center

The Maple Portal is an internally linked help system for locating specific help topics of common interest. It contains great general “Getting Started” tutorials broken down into sequential 5-10 minute segments.  There are multiple ways to access/use the Maple Portal:

• from the help menu (or from the Maple Tour) while in an open Maple session
• on the Maplesoft website:  Maple Portal (opens in new window)

This means that you can access these topics online, or if you prefer, directly on the computer in your Maple program. For more student-centered topics, there is a link to the Maple Portal for Students in the lower right corner of the Maple Portal.  It is also available on the Maplesoft website:  Maple Portal for Students (opens in new window)

The Tutorials: Getting Started with Maple topics Talking to Maple, Putting your ideas together, Commands and Packages, and Plotting, Working with Matrices, and Data Structures may be of particular importance to SUNY Empire students using Maple. Additionally, any of the topics under the How To column are features that will help you save time and effort in your work, and in some cases are essential to documenting your mathematical work using appropriate symbols. Click on any of these links to get the specific topic information.

The Maple Portal is designed as a starting place for any Maple user.  Maple's Tutorials will help you get started with Maple, learn about the key tools available in Maple, and lead you through a series of problems.  From here, investigate more detailed topics in the Portals for Engineers, Students, and Math Educators.
