Polar Coordinate Plots
Since the default coordinate system is the Cartesian (x,y) system, it’s necessary to specify when working in other coordinate systems. Working in polar coordinates requires the use of the plots[polarplot] command (typing ?polarplot as a command in Maple will take you to the Help page for more information). Note that polarplot is part of the plots package. Here are several simple examples:
Plotting a sine function>> Link to Polar1 example.
Plotting a Circle (fixed radius)>> Link to Circle example.
Plotting a Line (fixed angle)>> Link to AngleLine example.
