Introduction to Copyright
Learning Objectives
Once you’ve completed this module, you’ll be able to:
- understand that copyright is a matter of federal and international law
- list and define the rights that are reserved to the rightsholder
- distinguish things that can be copyrighted from those that cannot
- explain the two factors that determine if and when a work can be copyrighted
- understand that copyright can be transferred
- understand that there are specific exemptions to copyright
